Door Game was a Love-Hate relationship. It was a phenomenon and also a roller coaster of emotions. From the time of noticing that the main character was a door, it brought tears to my eyes. Whilst walking on the bridge for a good few minuets, we saw some character development in an interesting object. The climax of the experience was when the door was a mistake for the dragon, who didn't want a door.
It felt like Armageddon when the door and dragon fought. It was better than most movie and video game fights. The amount of work and effort put into this amazing, action-filled, drama of a game was extortionary.
This game was so good, it made most games look like crap. But although this was amazing, there are a couple flaws. First, there needs to be more character development and also, the dragon fight was so violent, I almost had to make a twitter post about it. But in fear of losing support in this masterpiece, I didn't do it.
This needs to be everywhere. It should have its own movie, its own tv series, merchandise, and everywhere and everyone should talk about it.
Furthermore, we need to address the fact that the creator, Byte287, IMPLANTED A WHOLE QUIZ SECTION IN THE GAME!!! Like, this game was a phenomenon enough, BUT A QUIZ MADE THIS GAME STAND OUT IN A GOOD WAY! When you get all the questions right, you get transported to this place where there are also a bunch of inanimate objects. This is character development to its peak. The fact that he put in a quiz and more bonus content shows us how dedicated he is to making our fans proud of him.
Door Game was an extremely amazing journey. It truly touched my soul. This honest review will contain spoilers, so scroll away if you have not completed your first playthrough. Door Game is a top notch RPG like no other. Many hours of blood, sweat, and tears were put into this game, and I can tell. The graphics and music were astonishing. You can tell how much effort was put into this game. To call it a game, it is an insult, this was an experience like no other.
Now to get into the actual story. The story was scary, sad, but heart warming at the same time. You wake up as a door. This is extremely confusing and sad as the main character realises who he is now. His whole life, he had no idea he was destined to become a sentient piece of wood. It is beautifully depressing. Our hero travels across the unknown, in an attempt to realise what is happening to him. The dangerous bridge proved our main character worthy. He eventually reaches his final destination. But what awaits him will prove to be a challenge. A giant beast, representing the danger of his journey. But nevertheless our hero overcomes this obstacle. He is truly an inspiration. To us all.
But there is another, more secret ending to this all. Our hero is able to take a quiz, a very daring hard one, and a whole secret world of other creatures like him are living within. Our protagonist speaks to each of them, learning their stories. He then continues down the dangerous secret world, only to find a throne. He realises that he was destined to rule the living inanimate objects. This is a beautiful ending for our hero.
Door Game affected me no other game had. The story taught us all a lesson, to never take our lives for granted. It was extremely uplifting, our hero is truly a strong character, one that will stick with me until the day I die. This story was an amazing tale, thank you for giving me this experience.
this game is the best game ever made it envisions all of what a game should be not even elden ring or breath of the wild can live up to these standards this gamer will set a new precedent for all games that come after it if every game from now on doesnt have inspired by door game they are simply lying this needs to be displayed in every museum this should be the first game to have 1 trillion copies sold no one should go without playing door game you play as a door questioning why it happened who did this too you was it a wizard your mom? you never figure out this but thats whats beautiful about it its left up to the mind to figure out and the ending when you overcome all you hardships and beat those who are trying to stop you from doing what you were made to do is truely beautiful the visuals are the most realistic graphics i ever seen in a game real life looks low quality after seeing this game i cant live my life anymore without noticing the low frame rate and the sound design omg the sound design its amazing every other video game soundtrack is terrible compared to this masterpiece of a soundtrack and the combat system its so simple and elegant you only need to push one button and you win its accessible to everyone no one should not play door game.
Holy shit. This is such a beautiful game. I am just out of words, yet I will continue to write this review. This game is so amazing I don’t think I want to play another game ever again.
Starting with the concept. A man has become a door. We don’t know this man. We don’t know who he used to be. We just know he has turned into a door, and we’re just as confused as him. He’s relatable. You, as the player, even if you have never turned into a door, can project yourself into him. I almost felt like this was the story of my own life.
In just 3 rooms, Door Game manages to tell a story so beautiful and touching, with some of the most amazing characters and emotions I’ve ever seen in a game. The soundtrack helps a lot with accompanying the beauty of this masterpiece too.
The ending is so… perfect. It’s an amazing conclusion for this amazing character, but also staying open. What will happen next? What kind of doorventures will our protagonist get into? We don’t know that. And that’s life for you. A series of unexpected events we can’t predict, but if we learn to enjoy the present life can be beautiful.
I think this game is all about closure. It’s about finding a purpose in this wacky world. It’s about finding that empty frame that perfectly fits you.
An introspective on the mind of the door. The way that this game portrays the human and door psyche, and the interesting voice in which the story is delivered is incredible. You are brought from a state of total confusion and innocence to being dredged in loss and the chains of regret. And door man wept because there where nothing more to one shot. The entirety of this broken man may not be able to be fit in this short review, but I implore you, play this game, you will never be the same. 10/10.
